Pharmacy Education Symposium - Abstract Submission 2009

Call for Abstracts

We invite you to share your experiences of competency-based teaching and learning by submitting an abstract to give an oral or paper presentation. Practice-based abstracts relevant to the various forms of competency-based teaching and learning are welcomed and due by 30 January 2009.

Contributed papers

Contributed papers (oral presentations or posters) provide an opportunity to share aspects of your own experience or research on aspects of competency-based teaching and learning in pharmacy education. Oral presentations will be 10 minutes duration followed by 5 minutes of question time. Posters will be displayed throughout the Symposium. Contributed papers must relate to pharmacy education and preference will be given to those relating to competence.

The Organising Committee will consider work in progress, narrative presentations, and work presented at other fora (although this must be clearly stated).

Presenters will be expected to attend their poster during the poster session(s). Posters should not exceed 1 m (width) x 1.2 m (height). Posters will be attached to display boards by Velcro hooks.

Abstract Requirements

All abstracts must be written in English with the body word count limited to 250 words. Format the abstracts in Arial, font size 11, single spaced. Use the following format for the abstract filename including the contact person’s name: johnsmith_prato2009.doc. If submitting more than one abstract use lower case alphabet following 2009 (johnsmith_prato2009a)

Only abstracts submitted electronically will be accepted. Email your abstract as an attached Word document to kirstie.galbraith@pharm.monash.edu.au, or if submitting your abstract on CD-ROM, clearly label the CD with your details and post it to the symposium organisers.
